Summary of Book
Grace’s teacher explains that the United States has never had a women president. Grace decides she wants to be the first. But before she lands in Washington, she runs for the class president --thinking it would be easy to win since no one else was running. However, things are not as easy as she thinks when Thomas runs against her. They made up campaign promises, gave speeches, and held rallies. Each student not running in the campaign was given a state with the number of electoral votes that state held; on the day of the election each person/state gave their votes. It was a close race, but Grace came out on top, and not because she was a girl or the best girl. She won because she was the best person for the job.
